University video ‘About Stout’ available online

December 28, 2011

A new edition of “About Stout,” a half-hour recorded informational video produced at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, has been completed and is available for online viewing.

The video features Doug Mell, executive director of communications and external relations, interviewing two UW-Stout administrators: Jackie Weissenburger, associate vice chancellor for academic and student affairs, and Mark Parsons, vice chancellor for University Advancement and Marketing.

Mell and Weissenburger discuss UW-Stout’s record enrollment, new undergraduate and graduate majors and other student-related issues. Parsons, who came to UW-Stout earlier this year, discusses his background in higher education and his plans for fundraising and alumni relations.

“About Stout” is produced approximately 10 times a year at the Learning Technology Services studio in Millennium Hall. The video is streamed on the Internet and can be seen at http://www.uwstout.edu/content/lts/streams/melld/aboutstout111221.wvx.

The show also is on more than a dozen public-access cable channels in Wisconsin and Minnesota. The show can be seen at 9 a.m. Tuesdays and 7 p.m. Wednesdays on the public-access channel — channel 96 on Charter Communications — of Chippewa Valley Community Television, CTV, in Eau Claire.

The show has been produced at UW-Stout since May 2007.
