UW-Stout hires new marketing director

Amy Luethmers has been hired as the director of university marketing for the University of Wisconsin-Stout, according to Mark Parsons, vice chancellor for advancement and marketing.

 Luethmers comes to UW-Stout from UW-River Falls where she was marketing specialist since November 2010. She also owned Moonlite Creative in River Falls, a marketing company.

“Amy has substantial experience in all aspects of marketing, both from her career in running her own agency, as well as highly applicable experience in higher education marketing at UW-River Falls,” Parsons said. “Amy also brings a great passion and personal enthusiasm for marketing, which we expect will help us to attain the next level of excellence in developing and managing the uniqueness of the UW-Stout brand.”

"I am thrilled to be presented with the opportunity to further develop UW-Stout's position as Wisconsin's Polytechnic University and creatively market the unique variety of programs offered here," Luethmers said. "I am extremely impressed with both the caliber and warmth of the UW-Stout community members I have already had the pleasure of interacting with during my visits over the past few months and look forward to meeting many more soon."

Luethmers has a Bachelor of Science in business communications from UW-River Falls and is working toward an master’s of business administration from UW-River Falls.Mark Parsons

University marketing includes marketing and branding programs; publications development; website planning, design and content development; graphic design; and photography in support of marketing strategies. The department works closely with university communications in carrying out these responsibilities.

Luethmers will begin in her new position Monday, June 24.
