Police officers named Classified Employees of the Month

University of Wisconsin-Stout police officers Lisa Pederson, of Connorsville, and Jason Spetz, of Menomonie, have been named Classified Employees of the Month for September and October.

The individuals nominating Lisa and Jason stated, “On Thursday, Sept.13, Officers Pederson and Spetz were in the right place at the right time and their training and quick action saved the life of UW-Stout student Ryan Child who was in acute cardiac arrest. They exemplify the definition of a COPS — Community-Oriented Policing — office.”

Chancellor Charles W. Sorensen presents each Classified Employee of the Month with a certificate of recognition, a UW-Stout coffee mug and a check for $50.

Nominations can be made by supervisors, fellow employees or students.

The award was established by the chancellor to recognize classified employees at UW-Stout.
