CEO of Lineage Logistics Bill Hendricksen to speak on campus

Bill Hendricksen, chief executive officer of Lineage Logistics, will be the guest speaker for the Arthur R. Cabot Executive in Residence program hosted by University of Wisconsin-Stout College of Management. The annual program features a corporate leader.

 The program opens Thursday, Oct. 25, with a dinner and meeting with college administrators and faculty.

Friday, Oct. 26, Hendricksen will present “Tips for Success in A Changing World” at 9:05 a.m. in the Crystal Ballroom of the Memorial Student Center at UW-Stout. During the day, he will meet with students majoring in supply chain management and later with students in the quality management class. A roundtable discussion with Abel Adekola, dean of the College of Management, department chairs and program directors will be held in the afternoon.

Hendricksen, a 1974 graduate from UW-Stout with a B.S. degree in hotel and restaurant management, started in the cold storage industry in 1979 when he founded Inland Cold Storage in Riverside, Calif. In 2008 the company merged with the Madison Warehouse Group, a subsidiary of Castle & Cooke, and in 2012 merged with Lineage Logistics.

Lineage is the third largest temperature-controlled warehousing and logistics company in North America.

Hendricksen serves on the Board of Directors of Lineage Logistics; World Food Logistics Organization; National Drivers Accountability Program; The Salvation Army; AgFresh Solutions and the Stout University Foundation.

The Arthur R. Cabot Executive Residency program was established to honor Arthur R. Cabot, a successful pet products manufacturer. His son, Scott, is a 1978 UW-Stout graduate and is president of Vanguard Consulting Group, Deerfield, Ill.

Through the program corporate leaders are invited to spend time on campus meeting with faculty and students, giving seminars and presentations. The goal is to bring successful business leaders to inspire students in their chosen careers.
