UW-Stout professors granted tenure, receive promotions

University of Wisconsin-Stout has granted tenure to eight professors and promoted another 24 faculty, effective with the 2012-13 academic year.

Receiving tenure are:

• Carol Johnson, School of Education

• Terrence Mason, mathematics, statistics and computer science

• Noah Norton, School of Art and Design

• Jada Schumacher, School of Art and Design

• DeLeana Strohl, rehabilitation and counseling

• Sylvia Tiala, School of Education

• Sarah Wood, psychology

• Joseph Wright, operations and management

Promoted to the rank of professor are:

• Denise Brouillard, School of Education

• Barbara Flom, School of Education

• Jeanne Foley, mathematics, statistics and computer science

• Charles Lume, School of Art and Design

• Nancy Murray, business

• Bryan Ritchie, School of Art and Design

Promoted to the rank of associate professor are:

• Michael Bessert, biology
