Student work featured at engineering, technology open house

Student projects covering packaging, plastics engineering, engineering technology, computer engineering, manufacturing engineering and more will be on display this week at University of Wisconsin-Stout.

The engineering and technology department is having an open house from 2-7 p.m. Friday in room 157 of the Jarvis Hall Technology Wing. The event is free and open to the public.

The department is part of the College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

Two presentations will be part of the open house. At 4 p.m., Khanah Nthoiwa, a packaging researcher and instructor, will present postdoctoral research. At 6:30 p.m., the Fulton and Edna Holtby Endowed Manufacturing Engineering chair will be announced in room 110 of Jarvis Hall Science Wing.

The Holtby chair is a three-year appointment. The faculty recipient will receive $45,000 for research, equipment, course development and professional development.
