Introduction
UW-Stout students participate in more than 120 student organizations. The Student Center Activities Office publishes a Student Organizations Directory that includes a description of each group and contacts. The directory is also available from the SSA Office in the Memorial Student Center
Membership Regulations
You must maintain at least a 2.0 GPA to be eligible to be active in a campus organization. You may hold only one major office or two minor offices at a time, unless approved by the Dean of Students. A major office is considered any elected position and/or executive head of a student organization. All other offices of student organizations are considered minor offices.
Student Organization Center
Located in the lower level of the Memorial Student Center, the Student Organization Center provides office space, communication resources and record keeping space for student organizations at UW-Stout. Housing the Stout Student Association offices; space for the Stoutonia, the student newspaper; and reception and office space for all student organizations, the center serves as a central contact and communication facility to both members of student organizations and to the university community. For more information, call 232-1772.
