Walter and Evelyn Stratum-Brinkman established Brinkman Scholarship in 1982. They were both teachers and educators in the Chicago Area Public Schools. Walter graduated in 1915, and Evelyn was a 1918 graduate of the Stout Institute. They established this endowment in honor of their adopted daughter, Delores Brinkman. The purpose is to encourage American Multicultural students to have a positive experience in and outside of the classroom.
