Multicultural Student Scholarship

The University of Wisconsin-Stout has a mission and commitment to recruit, retain, and graduate students of color.
The Multicultural Student Scholarship funds include 30K from the Chancellor’s Office currently being used to offer 10 - $2,000 scholarships to incoming freshmen and 10 - $1,000 to second year students in addition to 50K (committed for two years as a result of computer rebates) to equal 70K to be awarded in 2008 and 80K in 2009. The combination of these funds is intended to provide larger awards and a 4-year commitment to students with the goal of attracting highly qualified students of color.
The Multicultural Student Scholarship Awards will consist of 4-year scholarships valued at $10,000. Students selected for this scholarship will receive $2,500 each year renewable for a maximum of four (4) years providing eligibility requirements are met. Award winners will be selected on the basis of the applicant’s ranking within the competitive pool and are not need based.
