The School of Hospitality Leadership at UW-Stout is sponsoring its seventh annual Career Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, in the Great Hall of the Memorial Student Center.
Representatives of more than 50 companies will be on hand to meet with students to discuss job openings and Cooperative Education work opportunities. Companies planning to attend are national restaurant chains, resorts, golf courses, hotels, gaming management companies, property management firms and entertainment complexes.
The UW-Stout student chapter of the Club Manager’s Association of America is helping sponsor the event.
“The annual Hospitality Career Conference gives each student a great opportunity to network with future employers for internships and full-time jobs upon graduation,” said Professor Phil McGuirk.
The School of Hospitality Leadership offers bachelor’s degree programs in hotel, restaurant and tourism management; golf enterprise management; and property management. They are the only such degrees offered in the UW System.
In January, UW-Stout received a $1 million donation from Weidner Apartment Homes of Kirkland, Wash., to create the Weidner Center for Residential Property Management.
The school, part of the College of Management, also offers professional development certificates in gaming management; and event and meeting management.
