Mary Volk has been named Classified Employee of the Month for January at University of Wisconsin-Stout.
Individuals who nominated her said: “Mary is dependable when it comes to perceiving needs, as well as completing tasks in a timely and quality manner. Her level of integrity is such that she can be trusted to execute delicate situations.”
“Mary is frequently involved in many special projects: Cabot Executive in Residence Program, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health grant application and assistance, and the ACBSP accreditation. She is always a cheerful, effervescent worker who makes the lives of those around her much brighter.”
“Mary is very deserving of this award and epitomizes the level of service, hard work and great attitude that makes the lives of all those who work around her better.”
Volk, who lives in Chippewa Falls, works in the Risk Control Center of the College of Management.
Chancellor Charles W. Sorensen presents each Classified Employee of the Month with a certificate of recognition, a Stout coffee mug and a check for $50.
Nominations can be made by supervisors, fellow employees or students.
The award was established by the chancellor to recognize classified employees at UW-Stout.
