Joshua Steans has received the Classified Employee Appreciation Award for March.
Steans, of Menomonie, works in the University Library.
The nomination states: “Josh continually goes above and beyond to provide unmatched interlibrary loan service to the Stout community. He fills each request with quick turnaround time and expert accuracy.”
Steans created and maintains several how-to manuals for the student library assistants and serves on the library’s Long Range Planning Committee.
“He helps to create a great environment and makes the library a better place for students and staff to work and study. Most importantly, he sets an excellent example of the kind of employee and community citizen that students, faculty and staff should try to be,” nominators said.
Chancellor Charles W. Sorensen presents each winner with a certificate of recognition, a UW-Stout coffee mug and a check for $50.
Students, faculty and staff may nominate a classified staff member who demonstrates a commitment to excellence and the university community.
The award was established by the chancellor to recognize classified employees at UW-Stout.
