The second semester of the 2012-13 academic year will get under way Tuesday, Jan. 15, with a welcome and brief comments from interim provost Jackie Weissenburger.
Weissenburger will address faculty and staff at 8:30 a.m. in the Great Hall of the Memorial Student Center. Chancellor Charles W. Sorensen, who typically delivers the address, will be attending UW System meetings in Madison.
At 8:45 a.m., Meridith Drzakowski, assistant chancellor for Planning, Assessment, Research and Quality, will present "You Said ... We Did," to provide updates on action taken as a result of the August engagement sessions.
At 9:30 a.m. will be the week's keynote address, "Inclusive Strategies That Create Community and Enhance Academic Performance," by UW-Green Bay Professor Angela Bauer.

The university will be closed Monday, Jan. 21, for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Classes begin Tuesday, Jan. 22.
