There are many sources of reviews, summaries and appraisals of feature film and videos on the WWW, too many to list separately. Some meta-sites that will help you identify many of these sources include:

Use the Indexes and Databases to identify articles in journals, magazines, and newspapers. Many indexes provide full text articles.

STOUT LIBRARY CATALOG

Video catalogs, indexes and reviews can be identified through the Stout Library Catalog using keyword guided searching.Try terms such as Film Criticism, or Motion Pictures and Reviews or Video Recordings and Catalogs. When you have identified a useful item, click on "Long View." Note the subject headings. Click on any useful headings to identify additional materials on your topic.


LIBRARY LEARNING CENTER FILMS AND VIDEOS

Also use the Stout Library Catalog to identify videorecordings owned by the University Library. Once identified, videorecordings will be found by their collection location and call number. The University Library's videotapes and videodiscs can be viewed in the library or checked out. VCR play-back units can also be checked out. Videos and equipment can be reserved ahead of time at the Circulation Desk.

Procedure for Finding Videos

In order to find a videorecording or other type of visual, limits need to be set for the media type. Limits MUST be set before performing a keyword search. You CANNOT limit in subject, author, or call number searches. Media Types:
