Many of the textile periodicals are not indexed in standard indexing services. Browsing may be the best way to use them. Some titles which may or may not be indexed are available in this library:

STATISTICS

Statistical sources on the textile industry are often needed to indicate trends. While many sources list figures only, the Standard and Poor's publication ` gives an industry overview, and analysis of current trends.

THESES AND DISSERTATIONS

Theses and dissertations can be identified through:

Stout theses and Ed Specialist papers are on microfiche in the reference area through August 1999. More recent theses are full text on the web. The Stout library catalog provides author, subject, title and keyword access and provides a link to full text web access for Dec 1998-date.

WWW Search Engines

The search engines that are available on the WWW vary in depth and coverage. Explore the search options to find relevant WWW sites. For a list of available search engines and WWW directories, e.g. Google or Yahoo, use Searching the Web from the Library Home Page.
