EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS CENTER (EMC)

The EMC, located in the University Library on first floor south, provides educational resources to be used with PK-12 students. These resources include juvenile books, commercial texts, activity and AV materials, and curriculum guides. By searching the Stout Library Catalog, specific titles can be identified.

Juvenile Collection

The EMC Juvenile Collection contains examples of children's literature and audiovisual materials. The following are examples from this collection.

Text Collection

The EMC Text Collection contains text materials and activities produced by commercial publishers. Some examples are:

Curriculum Guides

The EMC Curriculum Collection contains curriculum guides created by school districts and other educational agencies. The following examples are from this collection.

STOUT LIBRARY CATALOG

The Stout Library Catalog includes materials located in the entire University Library. To search only those PK-12 materials located in the Educational Materials Center of the University Library, you can set limits on the catalog to search only that location.

The EMC contains several collections. Materials identified by "Educational Materials Center" listed in the Stout catalog will be in EMC Juvenile, EMC Curriculum, EMC Young Adult, EMC Text Collection, or EMC Software Collection. Examples of Keyword Guided searches:
