Use the Stout Library Catalog to identify materials in this library on children's literature. Some useful headings to use in a Subject search are:

The Stout Library Catalog can be set to search the Educational Materials Center only, which is where the children's and young adult literature are located in the Library.
- Connect to the Stout Library Catalog.
- Click on the Keyword-Guided search.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the Set Limits button.
- From the Location drop down menu, select Educational Materials Center, scroll down and click on the Set Limits button again. "Search limits are in effect!" appears.
- Enter your keywords or phrase in the Search for box(es) using "all of these" or "as a phrase" as appropriate.
- Click on Search.
This limited search is useful for identifying and locating the Caldecott and Newbery Award books which the library owns. Searches to enter are:

- Newbery Honor Book
