Reference Services
The Reference Staff plays an active role in the intellectual life of the Stout Community by facilitating the research process using both online and print resources. Reference librarians provide assistance at the Reference Desk on the first floor of the Robert S. Swanson Learning Center, via email, and scheduled consultation.

Reference Resources
Reference Resources are primarily authoritative fact resources such as encyclopedias, dictionaries, handbooks, and directories.
For online reference sources:- Search Credo, a database of reference resources only
- Use the Stout Library Catalog and limit to E-books
- Select from the list of E-Book collections
To find print reference sources located in the Reference Area, use the Stout Library Catalog and limit to the Reference location.
