Paper-to-paper
Black and White Copying
- Floors 1,2,3,4,5
- $.10 per copy, self service 81/2 x 11" OR 8 1/2 x 14" copies, enlarging and reducing are available on floors 1,2,3,4 and at Student Center Service Desk.
- Copy machines are coin operated and accept nickels, dimes, and quarters. The Library's change machine is located on the second floor to the right of the elevator. The copy machines also accept Flexline and Baseline Plus accounts available through the University Dining and Campus Card Office or the Service Center at the Student Center. Visitor Flexline accounts may established up by purchasing a card for $1.00 at any Stout Value Transfer Station on the Stout campus. Funds may be added to the account through the Value Transfer Stations and at the Service Center at the Stout Memorial Student Center.
Color Copying
- Available at the Student Center Service Desk (715-232-1122) only
- Intermediary copying only.
- Per copy charge is based on size of paper and student versus non-student status.
Non-student includes Stout faculty, staff and the public.

- $.10 per copy, self service. Several zoom lenses are available to provide a variety of enlargements.
- Payment for microfiche and microfilm copying made be made by coin, Baseline Plus and Flexline accounts which can include visitors' accounts.
Microfiche-to-microfiche
- Circulation Desk or University Archives/Area Research Center, 321 Library
- $.50 per fiche. Non-copyright material only. Inquire at the Circulation Desk or Archives for details.
- Copying fees must be paid in the University Archives when copies are picked up; exact change is required.
Scanning print-to-disk, scanning slides / 35mm film to electronic storage media
- Floor 1
- No charge, self-service; provide own floppy, zip, CD-R disc, or USB jump/flash drive.
Scanning microform (fiche or film) to digital storage media
- Floor 2
- No charge, self-service, provide own floppy, zip, CD-R disc or USB jump/flash drive. Scanned image/text must be saved to a .tiff file.
Download online information to Library's networked laser printers
- PCs on all floors
- Black and white and color printing via Library networked printers on first floor
- $.10 per black and white page, self-service 8 1/2 x 11"OR 8 1/2 x 14". See first floor Library staff for assistance in two-sided copying or manually-feeding special paper.
- $.20 per color page, self-service 8 1/2 x 11". See first floor Library staff for assistance in two-sided copying or manually-feeding special paper.
- Payment for printing is made only via a UW-Stout Baseline Plus and Flexline account. Visitor Flexline account cards may be purchased for $1.00 via the Library's Value Transfer Station or Value Transfer Stations elsewhere on campus, at the Service Center in the Stout Memorial Student Center or the University Dining and Campus Card Office on the UW-Stout campus. Additional funds may be added to these accounts via the Value Transfer Stations or at the Student Center.
Transparencies from paper or digital masters
- Transparencies can be created from either a paper or digital master for a fee at the Service Desk at the Memorial Student Center
REPORT ALL EQUIPMENT PROBLEMS to the Circulation Desk, in person or via the help phones located on the upper floors.
Sending and Receiving Faxes
- Fax services are available at the Information Desk at the Univeristy of Wisconsin-Stout Memorial Student Center.
- Outgoing faxes cost $1.50 for the first page and coversheet and $1.00 per page for successive pages.
- Incoming faxes cost $1.00 for the first page and $.25 per page for succeeding pages.
- The fax number is 715-232-1432.
- Contact the Student Center Information Desk at 715-232-1122 to confirm prices and the fax number.
Departmental Cards for Faculty/Staff
- Departments/Faculty/Staff are responsible for their own photocopying. To obtain a Convenience Copier Credit Card (tan) for photocopying and printing, contact Ann Sorensen, Duplicating, at 715-232-2262.
UW-Stout students and staff are to receive first priority at the copying machines. Other users will be asked to relinquish their place if Stout users are waiting.
