Computer Resources in the Library

Computer Use Policies

The library provides public access to computers in accordance with University policy: Information Technology Acceptable Use Policy

Stout community members can use library computers logging on with their campus e-mail username/password.

Other qualified users may use the computers by registering and being logged on by a library staff member. Please contact the Access to Learning, Circulation or Reference desks for assistance. By signing the Public Computer Log Form you are agreeing to adhere to the policies noted above.

Library computers are made available to support research. Individuals using computers for non-research related e-mail, chat or games may be asked to relinquish the computer.

Printing

All public computers print to the printers located in the Reference Area.

Laptop users can use the Add a Library Printer link on the library's homepage to print to the library printers.

Payment is only with UWStout-ID flexline or baseline plus or a visitor card.  Dollar bills can be added or a visitor card purchased at the Value Transfer Station located on the brick wall near the circulation desk.

2 black and white laser printers cost 10 cents per page
