About Periodicals

Periodicals may be magazines, journals, or newspapers.
This list includes periodical titles available (ex: Newsweek):

This list does not include titles of articles.
Use Indexes and Databases to locate articles on a topic.

Periodicals shelved on 2nd Floor are in alphabetical order by title of the periodical (ex: Newsweek). Titles beginning with abbreviations or acronyms are shelved at the very beginning of the first letter, before any words.

For recently received periodical issues and title changes, search the Stout Library Catalog. To search the catalog for a periodical title select the Other Searches tab. Change the pull down menu in the "Find Results In" box to read "Journal Title" before performing your search.

Due to their high use, periodicals are not checked out; but photocopying facilities are provided.

If you cannot find the journal title listed in the Periodicals Holdings list, consider interlibrary loan. Click on Request Forms from the Library Home Page to fill out the Interlibrary Loan Article Request form.
