The fifth floor and the South side of the third floor are designated as quiet study areas.
Other floors have seating tucked along walls and book stacks that may be quieter.
Group Study Rooms and Areas
Group study rooms are intended for two or more users. If you choose to use these rooms individually, you may be asked to leave if a group requests it. Group study rooms are equipped with large monitor or projection systems for screen sharing, whiteboards, tables and chairs. Whiteboard markers are available at the Circulation Desk (1st floor) for checkout a with Stout ID.
Enclosed group study room locations: 111B, 113, 117, 118, 119, 302, 303, 402, 403, 502 and 503.
Open group study area locations:
Reference Room first floor– Six booths at back of room.
Library Instruction Lab, Room 111* when classes are not in session – two large seminar tables and six collaborative pods.
Room 211* when classes/meetings are not in session.
Room 221 large table and 6 chairs.
Room 430E* when classes/meetings are not in session.
