Materials not owned by UW-Stout's University Library may be requested from other libraries. These services are available to students and faculty/staff with both active UW-Stout email accounts and ID's, and to emeriti.
Borrow Books & Media via UW Libraries Direct
- Borrow books and media fast from UW System Libraries.
- Most requests are filled within 1-3 business days.
- Patrons are notified by email when their book is available for pickup.
- Try to get books through UW Libraries before using ILL below.
Borrow Articles, Books, and More via ILL (Interlibrary Loan)
- Borrow books NOT AVAILABLE from UW System Libraries above.
- Request journal articles, conference proceedings, and other materials.
- Please verify that Stout or UW Libraries do not own what you are looking for before making a request:

Service for Distance Patrons
Requesting from Article Databases:

When searching in Stout's licensed databases, if there are no Full Text icons, click the Find It! button. If the article is full text in another database, this button links to that database; if it is in the library building, a location in the library and the article's format is given.

If not owned, click the ILLiad link and login; the citation information will automatically fill in the request form.
Requesting from WorldCat

Loan requests placed from WorldCat also populate automatically with citation information. Just click the Request from Non UW Library link near the top of any WorldCat item record.
Google Scholar
