Thailand is one of the most memorable experiences of my college years. The opportunity to witness another culture that is so different from our own is a priceless experience. Traveling to another country such as Thailand has truly opened my mind to other cultures and has changed my world view. Some of the highlights of the program included ancient Buddhist temples, hill tribes in northern Thailand, and viewing the distinct culture of the Sea Gypsies in southern Thailand. Along with traveling to diverse locations within Thailand the accommodations and food exceeded my expectations which demonstrate the value of the program expenses. » Mike Niemeyer

By studying abroad in Thailand, I was made aware of a whole other culture. I was able to see first hand what life is like for the hill tribe and sea gypsy people. I was also able to interview the tribal people and ask them a variety of questions. Also while in Thailand, I was able to talk with organizations such as Heifer and the Population Research Council regarding the services they provide to the people of Thailand. Many of the people those organizations help were the tribal people I was able to talk to. It was a very enlightening experience and gave me an entirely different outlook on life and how I as one person can make a difference. » Tanya Namtzu
