Learn or practice Spanish, French, German, Mandarin Chinese and English from your student Laptop using RosettaStone language Software. RosettaStone is the number one rated language software that teaches and tests abilities in reading, listening and speaking.
If you are a freshman or junior, you already have the software loaded on your computer.
If you are a sophomore or senior, you can bring your laptop to Millennium Hall and have the program installed onsite at the ASK5000 help desk.
If you are faculty, please contact ASK5000 to have the software installed on your computer. You can bring laptops to Millennium and have the program installed onsite (You may want to call beforehand). For desktops, create a ticket for the ASK5000 help desk and request installation. They will come to your office to load the software there.
For graduate students and non-university distributed computers, you may not be able to have this software installed on your computer because of educational licensing. However, RosettaStone is available to everyone on the library computers.
You may want to purchase a headset, which can be used with the speaking portion of the software (not necessary, but it rates intonation). Any headset would work, but RosettaStone offers one on their website.
If you have any questions, please contact Sara Bauer (bauersa@uwstout.edu) at the Office of International Education.
