University of Wisconsin - Stout

Learn or practice another language from your student Laptop using RosettaStone language Software. RosettaStone is the number one rated language software that teaches and tests abilities in reading, listening and speaking.

The following languages are available to you:

If you are a freshman or junior, you already have the RosettaStone client with Spanish and French loaded onto your computer. You will need to visit ASK5000 to have one of the other language or languages loaded on your computer.

If you are a sophomore or senior, you already have Spanish, French, German, Mandarin Chinese and English on your laptop.  Visit ASK5000 to acquire any of the new languages available.

If you are faculty, you can bring only campus-owned computers to the ASK5000 Helpdesk located in Millennium Hall or call the ASK5000 Helpdesk to request RosettaStone installation.

For graduate students' personal computers and non-university owned computers, UW-Stout can’t install Rosetta Stone on personally owned computers due to licensing restrictions. However RosettaStone is available in the Library to anyone who has a UW-Stout email username and password.

You may want to purchase a headset, which can be used with the speaking portion of the software (not necessary, but it rates intonation). Any headset would work, but RosettaStone offers one on their website.
