Program Description
UW-Stout students have the opportunity to study at a Canadian university for UW-Stout tuition through the Consortium for North American Higher Education Collaboration (CONAHEC).
Depending on the location you choose, you can find courses in your academic discipline and internships.
Institutions in Canada
There are a number of major Canadian universities that are a part of the CONAHEC system. Each school offers a variety of courses.

Estimated Costs
As an exchange program, students will pay UW-Stout tuition and fees and the mandatory UW system health insurance. Additional fees including, minimal clerical fees to your host university additional meals, airfare, housing, passport fees, and personal expenses are paid directly by the students. Eligible students can use their financial aid to help pay these expenses. Need based scholarships are available to eligible Wisconsin residents.

Eligibility
Students must be of at least a sophomore status and have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5. The student must be in good academic standing at the time of participation. There may be additional requirements depending on the institution.
Housing and Meals
The housing and meal programs will depend upon the university you choose and whether or not you opt to live on or off of campus. Housing and meal costs vary depending upon the location chosen.
Passport/Visa
All students must have a valid US passport to enter Canada. The current passport fee is $100. Students should apply for their passport as soon as possible. If students already have a US passport, be sure to check the dates of validity. It must be valid for six months beyond the return date to the US.
Application Procedures
Please make an appointment with the Office of International Education (OIE), 400 Bowman Hall, to review and receive the application materials. Completed forms are returned to OIE. A $100 nonrefundable application fee is paid to the Student Business Services Office located in the Administration Building at time of application. Once accepted by UW-Stout, a $200 nonrefundable service fee will be required to hold a place in the program.
