Cost
You pay your normal tuition and fees to UW-Stout. Additionally, fees which are assessed as a condition of enrollment are paid to your host campus (e.g., laboratory courses, general service, computer, technology, art and photography supplies).
Room and meals are always paid to your host campus. You are responsible for transportation, personal expenses, and sightseeing opportunities while on exchange.
Financial Aid
Students who are eligible for financial aid may use such aid to help pay for the costs of National Student Exchange. Your financial aid counselor will have a copy of the cost estimates for your National Student Exchange program so your award can be adjusted to take into account the increased costs. If you have not applied for financial aid and think you might be eligible, contact the Financial Aid Office for information and application forms.
Grants and Scholarships
Students are encouraged to seek grant and scholarship opportunities through the Student Research Fund and the Stout University Foundation.
A limited number of study abroad grants are available to eligible Wisconsin residents who are participating in NSE program outside of the United States.
