Summer Benefit Prepayments

Unclassified Academic Year (9-month) Employees Paid Monthly

2014 summer benefit deductions will once again be spread out over three payments, April 1, May 1, and May 30. (Employees enrolled in Income Continuation Insurance, will have one additional premium withheld from the May 1 payroll check and two additional premiums from the May 30, payment.)

Human Resources has worked directly with employing departments to ascertain if fixed-term academic staff members and graduate assistants whose contracts end May 25, 2014 are expected to return in the fall or work during the summer. Based on the information collected, appropriate insurance prepayments are taken. If additional premiums are withheld and your contract is not renewed or employment ends, premiums will be refunded as soon as reasonably possible.
