Returning Students

Students who are currently living in the residence halls will be sent information in November regarding the room sign-up process. Students living in First Year Experience halls will be able to select from rooms in Fleming, Hovlid, Wigen, Jeter-Tainter-Callahan, and North Hall.

Please take time to read through your living options available to you as a returning student prior to making your room selection.

Contract Priority

University Housing gives priority for residence hall reservations to students in the following order:

  1. Continuing residence hall students and new students. Specific published deadlines must be honored by the student, or priority for accommodations is lost.
     
  2. Continuing off-campus students of freshman or sophomore classification who were not accommodated the previous academic term due to lack of residence hall space.
     
  3. Transfer student who will be new to campus.
  4. Continuing off-campus students who lived on-campus for their freshman and sophomore years, then chose not to renew a residence hall contract but now wish to live in a residence hall once again.
     
  5. Continuing off-campus students and re-entry students who, at any time, were granted a contract release or an exemption from the freshman/sophomore residence hall requirement.

Consideration will not be given to students in categories 4 and 5 until the Department determines that students in categories 1 thur 3 have had reasonable opportunity to secure residence hall space.

Semester costs for 2008-09 are (contract is for entire year):

Summer:

Double Room $ 40/week per person
Single Room $ 50/week
Suite Room $ 60/week

North Hall Guest Rooms:

Double with linens $ 15/night
Single with linens $ 20/night

Single Room Information

A limited number of single rooms are available on campus. Students are assigned singles based on availability and published priority.
