Web Designer
Job Title:
- Web Designer (Position currently filled)
Hours:
- 15-20 hours/week (Summer hours available)
Rate of Pay:
- Depends on qualifications. Probationary period applies.
Job Summary:
- The Web Designer works independently and efficiently to update and manage content on the University Housing website.
Responsibilities:
- Works with University Housing professional staff to bring marketing concepts to life in a timely manner
- Attends weekly meetings coordinated/facilitated by the Housing Design Student Office Manager
- Creates auxiliary websites for specialized purposes
- Collaborates with the Graphic Designers to maintain images/graphics on the University Housing website
- Foster a positive work attitude and open communication with clients
- Develop skills and knowledge utilizing state of the art software and technology
- Ensure all Housing Design files are backed up and organized properly
- Update and organize University Housing stock photography files
- Complete other responsibilities and projects as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Have at least two semesters of student employment eligibility
- Have knowledge of HTML
- Have knowledge of CSS
- Have some knowledge in ASP
- Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills
- Some experience with Adobe CS5 (Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- Digital photography experience is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple projects
