Letter
to Prospective International Students
To:
Whom It May Concern
From: Anne Johnson, Graduate Student Evaluator, The Graduate
School
You will
find the application for admission here.
View Graduate School information here.
If you
wish to be considered for admission to the Graduate School, you will
have to submit the following:
- International
Student Application for Admission [PDF]
- Application
fee (non refundable) check or money order in US dollars made to UW-Stout
- Declaration
of Finances form [PDF]
- Arrange
for two official transcripts of all post-secondary work (translated
into English) showing highest degree awarded above an associate degree.
- Arrange
for official TOEFL test scores to be sent to us
You can
now also apply online and pay the application fee by credit card here.
Be sure to also complete the separate Declaration
of Finances form.
Unfortunately there is no financial aid available to new international
students because of very limited funding. The Declaration of Finances
on the reverse side of the application form must be completed satisfactorily
before we can process your application for admission because it establishes
how you are going to support yourself while you are a student in this
country. If you will be dependent on a scholarship, you will need to
arrange it before you get here. Bank verification of funds must accompany
your completed Declaration of Finances. If you have a sponsor we will
need their bank verification and a sponsorship letter from them.
The following programs have separate internal application forms which
you can request from them or print from their web sites:
Some of
the programs have specific time frames for applying. These deadlines
are listed here.
Please
address specific questions concerning the program to the program director.
Their names are listed here.
