Start to keep track of your involvement during your first semester. By getting into the habit of monitoring your involvement, you will also see where your time goes, and you'll start to notice patterns (and gaps) in your activities. Deciding how to develop your profile as a new professional is a challenging task. Check with your advisor about e-portfolio opportunities in your program, as well as about other areas to consider in monitoring your involvement.
