Decorations must comply with all State and University fire and safety regulations.  (Real Christmas Trees, pine boughs with candles, hay bales, leaves, straw, etc. will not be permitted)

Decorations may be taped to block, vinyl or painted surfaces only.

Masking tape is the only type of tape that may be used on the approved surfaces.  Any other means of fastening decorations must be pre-approved by the Reservation Office.

Decorations may not be taped to wood, glass, ceiling tiles, lighting fixtures, metal ceilings, drapery, portable panels, etc.

The placing of centerpieces, flowers, table decorations, etc. should be coordinated with the University Dining Service and/or Reservations staff.

The engager is responsible for removing all decorations such as tape and/or other approved fastening devices.  All decorations must be properly disposed of or removed from the building immediately following the scheduled function.

The engager will be responsible for any repairs or clean up costs that may occur due to decorating.
