Graduate
UW-Stout's masters and education specialist degree programs include learning and research experiences in professional settings. As you progress through your program, you will work closely with faculty and receive assistance in planning your academic and career goals. Mentorship is one of our priorities and our commitment to you.
Transfer
No school can offer every academic program students want. Nearly one-third of UW-Stout students have transferred from other schools. Our experience helps make transferring smooth and easy.
Online and Distance
Stout offers more than 25 online, majors, certifications and certificate programs delivered online as well as programs at various distance locations that use a variety of distance learning formats.
Continuing Education
Continuing Education opportunities at UW-Stout are provided by three units on campus: Professional Education Programs and Services provides adult learners with access to education for personal and professional enrichment. Credit Outreach delivers university credit courses for adult learners. Online and Distance Education offers a variety of courses, majors and certificate programs you can complete without setting foot on campus.
Non-Degree Seeking Students
This diverse group of students may include midcareer professionals seeking certification for a changing technology, community members seeking courses for personal fulfillment, high school students taking classes not offered at a high school, guests and auditors.
International
More than 9,300 students, including 150 international students from more than 30 countries, are enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs at UW-Stout.
Military Personnel / Veteran
UW-Stout welcomes all veterans and military service members as students. We are commited to do our very best to ensure that each veteran student has the tools and resources available to successfully achieve their educational goals.
Re-entry
Regular re-entry students are those who have completed no transferable credits from any postsecondary institution since they last attended UW-Stout. Transfer reentry students are those who have completed transferable credits at a post-secondary institution since they last attended UW-Stout.
ESL » English as a Second Language
UW-Stout offers English immersion courses to non-native English speakers who would like to communicate more effectively and improve their performance in their professional, academic and personal lives. Upon successful completion of the entire ESL program, students can be accepted directly into UW-Stout and begin taking regular academic courses if they meet our academic requirements.
