UW-Stout has a rich and distinguished history as a leader in the field of technology education. The technology education program is designed to prepare middle and high school educators to teach others about the technologies that shape our world. It is one of the largest programs of its kind in the United States with more than 300 majors.

As a result of its size and reputation, public schools throughout the nation seek UW-Stout technology education graduates to help prepare their students for life and work in our technologically sophisticated society. During the past 10 years UW-Stout's technology education program's placement rate has been between 97 and 100 percent.

As a recipient of this scholarship, you will graduate with credentials to teach Project Lead the Way courses, a new pre-engineering curriculum that is sweeping Wisconsin and the entire country. PLTW’s teacher training program will help you make great things happen in the classroom.

Studies of the curriculum have proven that PLTW students become the kind of prepared, competent, high-tech employees U.S. industry needs to stay competitive in the global market. Therefore, more and more junior and senior high schools are implementing the PTLW curriculum.

As a graduate of UW-Stout and a recipient of this scholarship, you will be a desirable candidate to teach in these and other schools.
