Gifts of cash (i.e. personal checks) are the most popular form of giving to the Stout University Foundation. Cash contributions are deductible and provide federal and state tax savings. The higher your income tax bracket, the lower the net cost of your contribution.

The Stout University Foundation, Inc. has established clubs comprised of friends of the University who have contributed gifts. Those clubs include:

| Chancellors Club | $10,000-49,999 | |
| Challenge Club | $50,000-99,999 | |
| Tower Club | $100,000-999,999 | |
| Lorenzo Dow Harvey | $1,000,000-4,999,999 | |
| James Huff Stout | $5,000,000 and above |
Donors at each level will receive a letter from the Chancellor and the Foundation recognizing them for their generous gift. They also will have their names listed in the Foundation Annual Report under the appropriate club.
Donors at the $10,000 level and higher will have their names listed on the donor plaque in the Memorial Student Center on campus.
