How are the annual fund dollars used?
Do they really make a difference?
Too many academic programs simply "go without" because of funding limitations. Gifts received through the annual fund fill the gaps in purchasing and maintaining the resources needed to create a "margin of excellence" at this institution. A gift to the annual fund will support grants to fund faculty research, new library resources, state-of-the-art laboratory equipment and scholarships which attract top students to UW-Stout. With your financial support you will be a significant partner in maintaining UW-Stout's outstanding national reputation.
How can I participate?
You may choose to make a gift directly to the Foundation or await a phone call from a current Stout student.
Your participation in the annual fund is needed more than ever. The state supplies less than 32 percent of the overall budget. The remaining 68 percent comes from tuition, fees, federal grants, corporate and private support. When corporations and granting agencies consider funding educational institutions, they look at the percent of private support the school receives from alumni, parents and friends. Your participation in the annual fund, regardless of the dollar amount, is very critical.
What is the goal of the annual fund?
The overall goal of the annual fund is to further academic excellence at UW-Stout. Our annual goal is to raise $500,000 from loyal alumni like yourselves and to increase participation in the annual fund campaign.

May I direct my annual gift to any area within the university?
Absolutely. You may direct your gift to any college, major, department or program on campus. Unrestricted gifts to the fund are allocated to the area of the university that is in the greatest need. A gift to UW-Stout is an investment in the leaders of tomorrow.
Does my company support matching gift contributions?
Corporate matching gifts can double or triple your annual gift. All of the companies, subsidiaries, divisions and affiliates listed in the matching gift information area will match gifts to the Stout University Foundation, Inc.
