e-Scholar Scholarship
2008-2009 Program Guidelines
e-Scholar Scholarship Award –
UW-Stout, along with the Stout University Foundation, provides a scholarship program for incoming freshmen, sophomores,
and freshmen and sophomore transfer students in support of the student’s inclusion in the e-Scholar Program. Every eligible
student meeting the financial need criteria of the scholarship will be considered
for an award. These scholarships are need-based, requiring a financial aid application and a Foundation Scholarship Application.
Scholarships in the amount of $500 will be awarded to financially needy freshmen and sophomores admitted in the e-Scholar program and meeting the scholarship requirements.
Award Criteria –
Every incoming freshman or sophomore with an Estimated Family Contribution of $4,700 or lower as determined by the Office of Financial Aid using the student’s current FAFSA application and who have applied for and been accepted to the university on or before April 15 will be considered for an e-Scholar Scholarship Award of $500. Additional awards may be available for applicants with an EFC higher than $4,700 and will be awarded based on the student’s level of need.
Awards are $500 per student per year. Students may be eligible for two e-Scholar Scholarship awards during their academic career at UW-Stout.
Applicants must be attending UW-Stout during the fall semester of the award year.
Applicants must be identifiable as part of the e-Scholar program.
Applicants must have student status as an incoming or transfer freshman (0 to 29 completed credits) or sophomore (30 to 59 completed credits). The completed credits will be determined by the student’s completed credits as of January 1st of the award year plus any credits expected to be completed during the spring semester of the award year.
Applicants must have a completed Foundation Scholarship Application filed with the Foundation Office by the application deadline of February 15th to be considered for the following academic year’s awards.
Applicants must have completed and filed a FAFSA application by the deadline of March 15 for consideration. Only students who have met this application deadline will be considered.
