Introduction
Because of the number and complexity of financial aid programs, only basic descriptions of the various sources of aid can be provided in this publication. Moreover, it is not possible to provide a comprehensive listing of all the considerations made in assessing financial need and determining eligibility for funds. All guidelines for administering financial aid programs are subject to change at any time as a result of legislative action or administrative mandate from the state and federal agencies responsible for the direction of the program.
The majority of aid given to students is Federal aid. We suggest that you
take a look at the latest Student
Guide from the US Department of Education for comprehensive information
about the Federal financial aid programs.
