- Next year's Free Application for Financial Aid (FAFSA) is available online, PIN number required. Paper copies are available at high schools, colleges, and universities. FAFSA may be filed anytime now.
- February 15 - Scholarship Applications
- Stout Foundation scholarship applications are due February 15th.
- March 1 - Summer School Financial Aid
- Continuing students planning to attend summer school need a summer financial aid application. Also available at the Financial Aid Office.
- March 15 - FAFSA should be filed by now
- Stout's priority filing date for the FAFSA, apply for next academic year by this date.
- April 15 - Tax Deadline
- Tax deadline with the IRS. Keep copies of your tax documents, which may be needed by the Financial Aid Office.
- Early May - Award Letter
- Next academic year financial aid award letters are mailed to completed applicants.
- Late May - Satisfactory Academic Progress
- Satisfactory Academic Progress is measured for financial aid recipients. Students must be making progress by completing at least 66% of all credits attempted.
- June 1 - Summer Application Deadline
- Summer session deadline for applying for financial aid.
- May, June, July - Entrance Counseling
- New Stafford loan borrowers must complete entrance counseling online at Great Lakes Educational Loan Services.
- Early August - MPN and Bill
- Master promissory notes for new Stafford loan borrowers are mailed.
Billing statements for fall are mailed from the Business Office with payment plan information. - Early September - Credit and Refund
- Fall financial aid is credited to your account and any refunds will be available within a day or two. Refunds will be automatically sent to students' Stout OneAccount.
- Late December - Satisfactory Academic Progress
- Satisfactory Academic Progress is measured and warning letters are sent for financial aid recipients failing to complete 66% of all credits attempted.
