  • Provide computer, server, and technology support to students and faculty.
  • Work with other departments on campus to ensure that students have an efficient and reliable experience with lab computers and technology.
  • Research, recommend and install new computers, software, servers, and related equipment.

IT Supervisor - June 2004 to February 2008
Heritage (formerly Heritage Press), El Reno, OK

  • Installed, maintained, upgraded and repaired computers, peripherals and networking equipment for 70 users.
  • Responsible for all IT Department budgeting, research and purchasing.
  • Maintained multiple commercial websites, including being on call 24/7 to ensure server uptime.
  • Coordinated several major network and telephone system renovation projects.
  • Maintained telephone and PA systems.
  • Miscellaneous duties included digital photography of website products, shipping list processing, network cabling, etc.

  • Performed cost estimates for directories, newspapers, catalogs and magazines.
  • Created custom spreadsheets for mailing distributions, bid packages, inventories and projections.
  • Installed, maintained, upgraded and repaired computers, peripherals, servers, and networking equipment.
  • Scheduled all work in sheetfed department.  Responsible for sheetfed inventory, including ordering paper.

  • Worked in many departments to better understand the printing plant as a system.  Departments included scheduling, planning, estimating, prepress, information technology, bindery, shipping, creative & typesetting, and customer service.

  • Installed, repaired and maintained Macintosh and IBM compatible computers for professors and their support staff.

Computer Technician - January 1997 to May 2000
Department of Vocational Rehabilitation, University of Wisconsin-Stout

  • Installed assistive technology to assist clients with disabilities, including computers, optical character recognition systems, environmental controls, Braille displays, speech recognition and home automation.
  • Traveled statewide to perform installations and do evaluations in clients’ homes.
  • Installed and maintained staff members' computers and peripherals.
  • Researched and made recommendations on computer purchases.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT


Apple Technical Seminars for Education, La Crosse, WI (July 2008). Participated in training seminar related to Mac OS X Server, imaging and deployment, and managed work groups.

PIA/GATF Variable Data Printing Conference, Phoenix, AZ (November 12-14, 2006)  Attended conference to learn more about variable data and database management.  Networked with industry partners.
