Research Interests

Works of personal narrative and memoir; narrative theory; writing memoir; the rhetoric, personal narrative, and personal life of Jane Addams and the women of Hull-House; and applying cultural studies as a theory to inform and explain personal narrative/memoir.

Teaching Critical Writing, Freshman Composition, Reading and Related Writing, Rhetoric of Technology, and Modern American Literature. Experience includes in class and online instruction including asynchronous instruction using the Apreso system.
