Research Interests

Professor Holland has been involved in researching on-line teaching and learning for the past 15 years. He was a co-investigator for the Alfred P. Sloan ALN grant which was the catalyst for the first on-line courses at UW-Stout. He has presented results of his studies at two ALN Conferences in New York, NY and at Kellogg College at Oxford University. Currently his interest is in Social Media Marketing and Social Media Analysis.

Joe currently serves as the Chair of the Menomonie Tourism Council, he serves on the Board of Directors for the Wisconsin Hotel & Lodging Association and he regularly contributes to Hospitality Law. Joe currently serves as the Faculty Advisor to the Stout Chapter of the American Hotel & Lodging Association.
