This course will examine the role, aims, and objectives of laboratory programs in Driver and Traffic Safety Education. Direct laboratory experience in on-street and behind-the-wheel will be required for the students. Also, emphasis will be placed in multiple student teaching techniques.

- Identify current issues related to the laboratory phase of driver education.
- Become familiar with driving simulation programs.
- Become familiar with multiple car driving range concept.
- Participate in on-street teaching activities and develop on-street teaching objectives.
- Identify and participate in any other multiple laboratory teaching techniques available to driver educators.
- Develop the ability to teach in multiple laboratory phases of driver education.
- Become familiar with current elements of cooperative driver education program.
- Identify instructional resources and equipment available for the laboratory phase of driver education.
- Become familiar with Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction definitions and standards relating to driver education public instruction programs.
