2013 Summer Program

How to Apply

For ESL study only, you must submit the following:

Complete the International Student Application for Admission at www.uwstout.edu/esl/apply.

1. Application fee of $50
   
2. Financial document or bank statement indication you have sufficient funds necessary to meet all expenses for the time it takes to complete your ESL program.
   
3. Official transcripts (translated into English) from all secondary and post-secondary schools attended.
   
4. Copy of your passport page showing your correct name. Passports can be scanned and emailed to international@uwstout.edu
   
5. Permanent address in your home country.
   
6. E-mail international@uwstout.edu  for additional admissions information.

eStout Program

All students enrolled in the Intensive ESL course will also be enrolled in the eStout Program. This mandatory program is included in the tuition cost. Through this program, each student is issued a laptop computer, software, computer support and on-campus wireless interent connectivity. We do not encourage students to bring their personal computers with them to UW-Stout as there is no technical support available for students' personal computers.

Summer Housing and Meals

Students who come to UW-Stout for the summer program are typically housed in double-occupancy residence hall rooms. Single room apartment styles with air conditioning are also available, though at a higher rate. No on-campus housing is available for newly-arriving students for Summer Session I. No meal plans are available during the summer, but students can eat in the university cafeterias or at local restaurants. The estimated cost of meals during a 5-week session is $450.00.

Students can sign up to take 3 credits, 6 credits, or 9 credits during the summer.
