As a student you want and deserve the most cutting-edge technology resources available. Upon your graduation, experience with these technologies will enable you to compete in the 21st century job market. UW-Stout brings the wireless laptop learning revolution to you.
UW-Stout has always been an innovator in integrating technology with education. UW-Stout’s tradition of excellence continues today with the distinction of being the first public university in the state to create a wireless laptop environment. This mobile technology environment will provide you access to endless resources and dynamic learning experiences.
The digital learning environment enables you to:
- Research and assemble information while in the classroom.
- Collaborate on projects with other students from wherever you are on campus.
- Complete coursework whether you’re on campus or at home for the weekend.
- Register for courses and print your schedule online.
- Take online courses when you’re away from campus, at home for the summer, or during winter breaks.
In addition to the e-Scholar Program, UW-Stout supports and promotes a variety of instructional approaches - including traditional in-class teaching; distance education such as video conferences, teleconferences and interactive television; and distance education through the Internet - giving you more ways to learn at your convenience. (Please note: Graduate and Customized Tuition students are not eligible for the e-Scholar Program.)
