All undergraduate students at UW-Stout are part of the e-Scholar Program. Specific information about policies and procedures related to the e-Scholar program are available here.
New students (freshmen, transfers and re-entry)who will be entering Fall semester will receive information from the Advisement Center about laptop deployment dates and times. The deployment is conducted during Week One Orientation. Students will receive the laptop, accessories, backpack and training on that day. Student ID’s are required.
Special Students: Special students are included in the e-Scholar Program. Please contact the Advisement Center for laptop deployment information.
Deployment information for Summer e-Scholar students
Laptop distribution for Summer 2008 students will take place at the ASK 5000 Help Desk, 322 Millennium Hall beginning Tuesday, May 27, 2008, from 8 am – 4 pm. You do not need to schedule an appointment. At this time, you will receive a laptop computer, backpack and a variety of cords/accessories. Bring your StoutOne (or temporary) student ID card. You will not be issued a laptop without a University issued ID card. NOTE: You need to be registered for your Summer course(s) in order to receive the laptop. The laptop and accessories will need to be returned to the Help Desk after you complete your Summer course unless you are enrolled for 1 or more qualifying UW-Stout credits for Fall 2008 semester.
Graduate credits and Customized Tuition credits are not part of the e-Scholar program. These credits do not apply towards eligibility. If you have questions about your credit type and eligibility please contact Joan Wahl, 715-232-2649.
Spring Semester 2009 Laptop Deployment
Eligible students will receive information from the Advisement Center about laptop deployment dates and times.
Please note: Graduate and Customized Tuition students are not eligible for the e-Scholar Program.
Special Students: New special students are included in the e-Scholar Program. Please contact the Advisement Center for specific deployment days and times.
Audit Students: Students, who are only registered to audit courses, will not be eligible to have a laptop computer assigned to them. Audit students will be charged the e-Scholar fee and are eligible to utilize the laptop checkout program available at ASK 5000.
Please note: Graduate and Customized Tuition students are not eligible for the e-Scholar Program.
