Assessment of the e-Scholar Program began in Fall 2002 with the first laptop deployment to students. The University continues to assess and evaluate the e-Scholar program in a variety of ways including student surveys, focus groups and interviews. In addition, faculty surveys, focus groups and interviews along with analysis of students' grades are conducted each year. The university uses the data to continuously enhance services provided by a variety of offices across campus. Members of the 2006-07 e-Scholar Assessment Council include: Julie Furst-Bowe, Scott Griesbach, Jane Henderson(chair), Kat Lui, Kim Nimsgern, Steve Nold, Bob Peters, Dan Riordan, Debbie Stanislawski, Meridith Wentz.
For example, assessment results are used by the Teaching and Learning Center to create and offer professional development opportunities for instructors and outreach programming for students to improve the learning experience at UW-Stout.
