Businesses located in the Stout Technology and Business Park (STBP) receive many value-added benefits through its close affiliation with UW-Stout, Wisconsin's Polytechnic University. The first university to receive the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, UW-Stout is committed to providing its students with quality education, which includes developing close relationships with business and industry to provide real-world educational opportunities for its 9,300 students.

The polytechnic culture at UW-Stout has initiated and fueled strong partnerships with industry for more than 120 years. UW-Stout's Discovery Center serves as a gateway to campus and UW System applied research, technical assistance, economic development, extension and professional education resources. Its role is to facilitate collaborative projects between industry partners and faculty-student teams to provide solutions to industry challenges.
