Faculty
UW-Stout provides instruction and scholarship across a broad spectrum of expertise. Working individually or in faculty-student teams, the Discovery Center offers faculty the opportunity to engage in interdisciplinary collaborative projects to:
- Apply their research acumen and technical skills to answer the challenges of industry
- Facilitate personal growth and broaden their expertise
- Lead innovative problem-solving efforts through applied research and technical assistance
- Advance UW-Stout’s polytechnic goals
- Foster economic development
Discovery Center projects require faculty involvement of varying depth, based on the project needs and goals. Funding for projects is based on the scope and scale of the project, as well as the expectations of the funding partner. Funding for certain collaborative projects may be obtained from grant funding or other sources.
